About

I’m Ted Bankong, a full-stack software engineer and founder based in Lagos, Nigeria. I build products at the intersection of software, hardware, design, and real-world systems.

I work as a Full-Stack Software Engineer at Terra Industries on software for autonomous and defense systems, including interfaces connected to drones, surveillance systems, cameras, and field hardware.

I am the founder of Rewear, a commerce platform that helps fashion and lifestyle sellers sell online. I have worked across engineering, infrastructure, product, payments, logistics, seller tools, growth, and fundraising.

I am also building Stead, a group working across construction, real estate technology, contracting, security, and FX.

What I care about is taking an idea from something vague and turning it into a real product: the problem, the experience, the system, the users, and whether it can become a business.

I work across frontend, backend, infrastructure, AI integrations, and product. Languages and tools I use include TypeScript, JavaScript, Vue, Nuxt, Flutter, Go, Python, Rust, AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, Supabase, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Paystack, embeddings, and semantic search.

I am most interested in systems where software has to interact with something beyond the screen: commerce, logistics, robotics, cameras, payments, physical infrastructure.

Outside work I care about cars, photography, videography, and industrial design. I also read about business, history, economics, and technology.

Sometimes the work is writing software. Sometimes it is designing a product. Sometimes it is figuring out how software, hardware, and business meet.
